Hello again friends and followers! I am using this beautiful Hot Pink yarn for this super long bobble stitch scarf with fantastic tassles! I hope you don't mind multiple blog posts. I like to keep my items posted separately but since this was a gift that I made into a bobble stitch gift set I have included a photo of the items together and tried to get a few more angles of photos for you on the individual posts of each item.

Crochet Hot Cocoa with Marshmallows!

Posted by Angela B. at 3:41 PM 0 comments

I realized about an hour before needing to leave to deliver presents I didn’t make a handmade ornament this year. On Christmas Eve, I had the cocoa and marshmallows  done before having to leave. That night when we returned home from my daughters, I finished this. I used Peaches and Cream in red and Crafters Secret for the gray and brown. Both are more of a cotton dishcloth yarn. I used the G hook.  The pattern would have this cup at about 1 1/2 inches I think mine is almost like a full size cup. I still love it! In case my daughter finds it rather large for her tastes, I decided to have a back up plan. I made her a Paper. Filigree Snowflake. I will be posting it on my paper craft blog at TasteCraftiness.blogspot.com or click link at top left side of page to take you there.

Crochet Snapdragon Stitch Hat & Scarf Set

Posted by Angela B. at 7:49 PM 0 comments

This beautiful set was inspired by the scarf. I made this scarf a few years back when just beginning to crochet, and at the time I had ran out of my Caron Simply Soft yarn in this color. It sat in a box hibernating for years until I finally found the pattern I was using and bought the yarn again. I needed a hat to complete the set so after making my brim, I used the pattern from the scarf and incorporated it into my hat once I made it to the crown I started decreasing my stitches.

Crochet Batman Hat

Posted by Angela B. at 7:25 PM 0 comments

Isn’t this great! I did get the ear on one side a little crooked but I was tickled to death how good it looked. I ended up making two of these hats one to give my friend in case the original hat I made her did not fit her son. They said even thought he was only two years old he was the size of a five year old. I was so happy that my instinct told me to bring along the hat in case one didn't fit. I also made one for one of my Grand Nephews.

This hat is from a free pattern I found at

Amy’s Crochet Creations

Crochet Spider-Man Hat

Posted by Angela B. at 7:13 PM 0 comments

Hello again, I am still working on getting hats made from my Great Nieces and Nephews. I have three of each. From the ages of 7 - 13. If you have been following my blog you seen the first light pink pom pom hat set I made for the youngest of the girls, and then I made the hand warmers and bobble hat set for the oldest of the girls. For the boys I have shown you the Ninja Turtle hat I made for the oldest boy and now this one for one of the two other boys. I am sure it looks much cuter on than by itself. ;)

I used the free pattern from

Amy’s Crochet Patterns

Crochet Bobble Hat and Hand Warmers

Posted by Angela B. at 6:59 PM 0 comments

Hello again friends and followers! This week I worked up this beautiful hat for my niece. Her favorite color was pink, I sure hope it still is!  I used Caron Simply Soft Yarn in Hot Pink. The beautiful hat pattern is by

Succulent Stitchery

You can find the hat pattern for free at

https://succulentstitchery.blogspot.com/2019/06/free-crochet-pattern-pompom-bobble-hat.html?spref=pi

The hand warmers were a free mitten pattern from Yarnspirations that I went my own way and stopped early on the mittens to have hand warmers since I was running low on yarn and turned out I had just enough for the pair of hand warmers to make a beautiful finished set.

Hello friends and followers! Today I am showing off this cute and very easy pattern to work up. The Ninja Turtle hat! I made this for the oldest of my three Grand Nephews. I made all six of the kids Minion hats a few years back, and some stuffed toys, a mermaid tail, and this year I decided to go with hats but no one has the same one this time around.

I would like to thank

Heart Hook and Home

for this fantastic and very beginner friendly pattern! Plus it is FREE!

Crochet Boys Scraps Hat

Posted by Angela B. at 6:42 PM 0 comments

A friend messaged me on Facebook asking if I wanted to help her daughters fundraiser by buying some Blue & Gold Sausage. Well I said, yes of-course! So, since I knew I was going to be meeting up with her soon I thought it would be a great idea to have a hat ready for her kids. I made a pom pom hat in pink like one previously posted. I needed one for her son and for some odd reason of all the colors of yarn that I have in my stash blues are not one. So I found these in my scrap bin. And I was lucky enough to get this hat in Navy, and Turquoise made for her 2 year old son.

Her daughters hat was a pink pom pom hat like this

Inspired by Abigails Hope Chest

Posted by Angela B. at 4:06 PM 0 comments

Inspired by Miss Abigails Hope Chest. My first item for my recipients Hope Chest is this bookmark. I used an old charm from a stretchy bracelet she had as a child it kind of looks prehistoric like some sort of shell or rock and was perfect with this yarn. I believe the idea was to have the recipient learn how to crochet and make the bookmark to learn a homemaker skill and maybe give a few bookmarks to friends. My intended potential recipients either are nowhere near me or they are not yet interested in learning the art of crochet. Maybe one day.  The inspirational post for this project idea can be found here at  http://missabigailshopechest.blogspot.com/2010/12/crocheted-bookmarks.html

Crochet Green Halloween Witchy Gnome

Posted by Angela B. at 2:49 PM 0 comments

My second Halloween Witchy Gnome. He turned out longer than the first, but still very cute! I did not have a spider for this one. Does not mean he won’t get one. Hope you like him too!

Halloween Witch Gnome Finished

Posted by Angela B. at 2:49 PM 0 comments

I decided to add some extra touches to my gnome. I added the sparkly pumpkins to his shoes, and I found this awesome spider at Hobby Lobby to add to his hat! He is complete! I actually made him for my daughter and once I started on my second one she tells me “You can keep him.” “I like Christmas best!” …lol! Oh well, I already have the body finished for another Halloween Gnome.

Newborn Aviator style Ear Flap hat

Posted by Angela B. at 9:08 PM 0 comments

This week I have been rearranging my craft room once again trying to attain more space. While moving things from one side of the room to the other it gave me a chance to go through the stacks of finished projects I have made as well as the unfinished ones. This hat was in the unfinished side. I added the flap to make it look more like a Pilot themed hat, added a couple of buttons and the braided side straps to finish it off.

Crochet Puff stitch dish cloth

Posted by Angela B. at 8:40 PM 0 comments

Crochet Fall colored puff stitch dish cloth.

Okay, so I went cotton yarn crazy about a year ago. I thought I am going to make all of these hot pads, and coasters. Oh the things I can make, the sets etc. I am going to set up a booth at the Farmers Market and make some money off my hobby! Well that never happened. None of it. I have all this cotton yarn sitting here taking up space, so I thought I better start using it up. I started a market bag with one skein and just when I was about 1/2 way through I ran out of the skein, so I will have to go shopping for more to finish that. I decided to use the larger spool of the above color and make something for the Autumn season. It will be here soon don't you know! I made this Puff stitch dish cloth / hot pad. I never use them as dish cloths I always toss them on the counter when I have a hot pan or don't want crumbs on the bottom of a dish from the counter. I love this puff stitch pattern. I had accidentally placed a strawberry dishcloth I had made in the Spring I believe it was, and they looked so good together, so now I am thinking maybe this is not for Fall season it could be for Spring too! :)

I would show you the project laying flat but it needs to be squared up. I don't know how people can crochet so perfectly straight and square, not this girl, my tension is too tight I think, maybe that is why I try to stay away from straight edged projects. :) The great thing about yarn is to square them up you can lay your afghan while damp on your mattress and pin it out square and allow to dry.

Crochet Baby Yoda

Posted by Angela B. at 7:59 PM 0 comments

My first attempt at making a Baby Yoda. I used Red Heart Super Saver yarn in the color Sage, and the robe was made using Caron Simply soft in the color Mushroom. I used plastic eyes and added some lime green above the eyes to form eye lids. This was so fun to make. I realize he looks more like a troll than a Yoda. I think this pattern should have been done with a yarn in weight 3 or a baby sport weight. I may remake when I have proper yarn colors, but so many people are into Baby Yoda right now and have requested for me to attempt to make one, so I took on the challenge with the yarn in my stash.

Crochet Turtle

Posted by Angela B. at 8:21 PM 0 comments

Crochet Teal & purple Turtle

I made this turtle as an extra little gift to go with the mermaid tail afghan from the previous post using the yarn that was left over. If you like any of my projects and are wondering if I would ever make anything to sell to you, the answer is yes. A lot of the items I have made thus far, I still have stashed away in a closet. I would be more than happy to sale my items.

Crochet Teal & Purple  Mermaid Tail Afghan

I have been working on this afghan for years! I finally found the purple yarn I had ran out of and was able to continue on. This is suppose to be a gift to someone from years back, I already lost count how many years back. Aye ye ye! I am deciding if I am going to sale in my Etsy shop or send it anyways. If this is something you are interested in, keep an eye on my Etsy shop for its listing!
