I found out I am going to be a Great or Grand Aunt, whatever you call it. I have always called it a Great Aunt, so that is what I am referring to myself as soon as she is born! I am making this afghan with my mothers left over yarn and a baby afghan pattern she worked up many times. She was teaching me how to crochet with this pattern when she was doing her chemo and I would sit with her. At the time I had no idea I would ever truly end up crocheting or enjoying crochet. But I knew she loved it and I wanted to learn anything I could while I had her, wishing I had taken the time to learn more before we had to cram it all in within such a short period of time. No matter now, I learned what I needed and have finished this baby afghan for my Great Niece that I will never send to her.
