4-Leaf Clover Headband

Posted by Angela B. at 7:21 PM 0 comments

Not sure I like it quite yet. Maybe it will grow on me.  But I whipped up a headband to add my 4 leaf clover to. I thought it might be cute. Used one of my new Handmade with Love buttons. Yes, I ended up tying it on backwards. This can be easily fixed. I have to sew on the Shamrock to pin into place.  Now that I see the photo, it is growing on me and I think it needs a Shamrock scarf to match. I mean if you are going to wear clovers you might as well make it worth it, so you don’t get pinched. Right? :D

The pattern can be found in the previous post with the pattern linked. The headband started off in my own direction from the start. I started with a chain of 71. Then I single crochet in the second chain from hook and across, turn and chain 1. I single crochet about 10 stitches in, skipped two and crochet 5 double crochets, skipped two, single crochet 1, skipped two, 5 dc, skip 2, 1sc, skip2 5dc, across then I ended with about 14 single crochets for the end, and reworked back in the other direction. This is not exact. But just from what I think I remember doing tonight. I apologize I did not write up a pattern and can link below the pattern I was using for my inspiration.

My intention was to turn these into candy heart garland, but it just seemed to big as a garland. So I am sticking with the coaster theme. I love the set of colors!

Crochet Heart Coasters and more..

Posted by Angela B. at 4:09 PM 0 comments

It was my goal to crochet up something by the end of January to post in the Beginner’s Crochet Group on Facebook. My first idea, crochet coasters. I found one of those secret code patterns. I am sure they have a proper name, but I cannot remember what it is. I am use to reading my crochet patterns. I could not find a heart pattern in a readable pattern like this. SO, off I went to decipher the code, with yarn and hook in hand. My first three hearts worked out pretty good. I wasn’t liking the fact I ran out of yarn and had two hearts in the same color, so I came up with a new idea, and that was to add a border around one of the heart coasters, and I plan to use the other two for another project possibly. The tiny heart was another pattern I had to try in case I decided to make a mug cozy for valentines and needed the heart embellishment to attach to it. I only have 4 days until valentines, so if I am going to get one of these projects completed this year I better get with it! Aye ye ye!

I will post links to patterns used below as soon as possible. Thank you for stopping by Aunt B’s Creations!

Crochet Heart Scarf

Posted by Angela B. at 1:52 PM 0 comments

Finished my first Valentine project of the season! I found this code to make the continuous heart pattern on a triangle scarf. I decided since I dont know anyone who wears the triangle shaped scarves I would make mine a regular scarf about 65 to 70 inches in length. I say that because in all honesty, I just finished this last night and I have not even measured the length yet to tell you about it before writing this post. I am so terrible at this blogging stuff. Lol!

I know after a few washes those hearts wont even resemble a heart. But for now it is a beautiful gift to let someone know they warm your heart. ;)
