Christmas Corset Stocking

Posted by Angela B. at 4:43 PM 0 comments

For this pattern that was published in a Crochet World Magazine I made this for a Friendship Crochet Stocking swap. My partner loved purple, so not sure how she felt about getting a corset stocking, but I thought it was the cutest idea, and I love to send unique items. I used an H 5.5mm hook, and the following yarns Lion brand Fun Fur solid White, Lion brand Vanna's Choice Silver Heather, and Red Heart Super Saver Solids Purple.

Crochet Sully Hat Teen

Posted by Angela B. at 3:01 PM 0 comments

Here it is, my first ever Teen/Adult Sully inspired hat. I had a little trouble getting going on this project as the pattern for the hat I found online in 6-12 months did not have directions for a larger size. I am a beginner at this and do not know the first thing about enlarging a pattern, so I had to do a little research to find myself a pattern in the size I needed for a crochet order. It worked out perfectly!

The pattern I used for the hat is located here

My version came out rather large and I couldn't be more pleased. I decided to keep this one for myself and see if Santa will fill it. Ha! I love the colors the design and the sign of this pattern by B. Hooked Crochet

Left to Right: Stocking received in Friendship Crochet Swap, the stocking posted on this blog post, and the white granny squares was made by my mother years ago.

Crochet Holiday Stocking

I spent yesterday and a little time this morning making this adorable holiday stocking. It is unfinished at the moment but I could not wait to share. I plan on crocheting a tab to hang it from and adding a silver letter for the name of whomever I give this to. :)

I found the pattern for this stocking here!

I had three projects started and ran out of my yarn for all three so I decided to look through my yarn stash after crocheting a minion hat and noticed I had colors to make a Sully inspired hat as well. So here it is my first ever Sully Inspired hat.

Chain Loop Cowl

First attempt at this beautiful Chain Loop Cowl. I need a large button for that button hole but so far this is what it looks like! I had started it for a friend who requested a scarf from me. She has yet to find out that I thought of her when making this, so when I finally get that button and complete it I will see if she likes it!

Crochet Candy Corn

Posted by Angela B. at 11:42 AM 0 comments

Oh so much crocheting fun I had doing this project. The challenge swap was to make something Halloween themed to send to your swap partner. I chose to make a Amigurumi Ghost, A Candy corn colored coaster for the crocheter him or herself, as you can see Candy Corn was my theme. I love Candy corn! I made a candy corn potholder and a banner. I really was thrilled with how it turned out. I hope the recipient likes it as much as I do! :)

Diamond in the Rye Crochet Square

I joined a crochet a long in one of the groups and they were working on squares so I jumped in on the fun! This is a 12 inch square written by Amber Schaaf

Crochet Counterpoint Afghan Granny Square

I joined a CAL, what is a CAL well that is short for a Crochet-A-Long. Didn't you ever do those sing a longs as a kid where the words came across the television or you read it from the story book as the cassette tapes played. I know showing my age a little there.  Well this project consisted of 12 squares for each month they were either a 12 inch square like this pattern or you would get 6 inch square patterns to put together to make your 12" squares. This square pattern was written by Joyce Lewis from Dunnica.

Crochet Duck Baby Afghan

Posted by Angela B. at 8:27 AM 0 comments

I was requested to make a baby afghan of my choice. I found this pattern in one of my mothers old crochet magazines, and I decided to go for it and try my first attempt at a graph pattern. What a challenge this pattern was, to coordinate the multiple yarn color changes through out the design for a beginner was taunting but I made it and it looks like a duck so I am pleased!
