Crochet Holiday Gnome with Bells On!

Posted by Angela B. at 11:28 PM 0 comments

Scandinavian Holiday Gnome was the perfect handmade gift for my daughters Gnome holiday theme. She received towels from her boyfriends stepmother with gnomes on them last year, and she seemed to of taken a liking to them. So this year, I went Gnome themed on my handmade gifts.

I found the FREE pattern for this adorable Crochet Holiday Gnome Here:

Candy Cane Huggers

Posted by Angela B. at 11:37 AM 0 comments

Isn’t he cute? If you are anything like me, you buy several boxes of candy canes to place on your holiday tree every year. They just hang there in no special particular way. Well, why not use a candy cane hugger?
I have owned the BrotherSE 400 for about 9 years and have hardly used it. You know me, I have to keep alternating my hobbies or I will get totally burned out. I dusted the machine off for a stub cover patch, but while I was on a search for trains I found much more to embroider.

Candy Cane Huggers

Machine Embroidered gift tags and candy cane huggers for many of my friends and family this year! I miss them all so much, I wanted them to know I think of them. In 48 years of my life, I don’t recall Ever sending any holiday gifts for everyone in their families, so this year it brought me so much happiness to do a little something to show them I care.

I made this little fella personalized for my daughters boyfriend but with just a change of ribbon color as seen below you can personalize with favorite color ribbon. I had forgotten to add the hanger ribbon but you get the idea. ;)

Crochet Stubby Warmers

Posted by Angela B. at 9:37 AM 0 comments

I know what you are thinking.. what in sam hill are those?
These my friend, are stub covers. What is a stub? A stub is created when an individual has an arm or  leg amputated. I had a request to make two stubby covers for a friends father, and she requested trains to be placed on them somehow, I came up with this idea.

Headband Ear Warmer -4yrs

Posted by Angela B. at 8:32 PM 0 comments

I was showing off my Headband Ear Warmer for a 6-12 month Baby that I made using scrap yarn left over from a hat that I had made earlier in the week, and then I had a request for two of them, so I have made another for the big sister she is four years old. I am using scrap yarn left over from another little ball I was storing. I am feeling so good about using up these little balls! Like I have decluttered without much effort.

Echo Ridge Blue Slouchy Hat

Posted by Angela B. at 8:43 AM 0 comments

Hello, and thank you for stopping by Aunt B’s Creations. I am Aunt B, although it appears this blog has been going a while, I am back posting Crochet projects from my craft blog to here for easier crocheters viewing, when and if I ever join a craft fair. I was told not to have too much of a variety, to stick to my best makes for the craft fairs. I honestly do not know which are my best, so that is where my viewers will help, by commenting or viewing their favorite items of Aunt B’s Creations.

Here is the Crochet Slouch Hat completed over the weekend. What a pain I had on this one, I worked the same pattern a few weeks ago, but failed to write notes on what hook I used, so this hat kept coming out small. My first attempt it was the circumference of a newborns head, so I pulled it out to the brim and added more length. This was my second attempt and I upsized my hook to an H which was still not large enough to fit an adult comfortably. I thought about frogging it, but I am over this project. I think I might make a scarf to match with the left over yarn, cross your fingers its wider than a belt. ;)

Christmas Boot Candy Dish

Posted by Angela B. at 9:06 PM 0 comments

I remembered my mother or someone in my family making these in the 70’s when I was a kid. When I seen the pattern online while searching for my next project I had to try it out! I had some scrap balls in perfect colors, that is, until I ran out of the red. At that point, I had to improvise. I used white squares to represent the heel and toe area, like in a sock. I used green in the sole and the lace area. I may add some type of lace, or pom poms for fun, we will see. :)

Do you Crochet? Want to make this vintage pattern?

Chameleon Slouchy Hat

Posted by Angela B. at 9:09 PM 0 comments

Id like to say I made this hat in a day, but it took two days to get the yarn worked just right because I was using some colorful Red Heart Boutique Yarn that was left over from a scarf I gifted to my daughter in law last year. The result is thus beautiful fun slouchy hat!

Textured Hat

Posted by Angela B. at 9:10 PM 0 comments

My daughter and I are addicted to Pinterest, me more than her. Usually she sends me items she wants me to make for her and they are knitted, not crochet. This time she sent me a pattern that was a paid pattern, so I was off to search for a pattern that is Free and looked just like it. I found this textured hat pattern. I ordered a big fluffy white pom pom for it, but in the mean time I used my fur ball prop. ;) Love feedback, if you have it, leave me a comment below!

Echo Ridge Slouch Hat

Posted by Angela B. at 9:17 PM 0 comments

I have been trying to find a free pattern that would be beginner friendly for a Crochet A Long in the Beginner’s Crochet Group on Facebook. In order to narrow down a pattern I like to work it up first. Needless to say this pattern is more advanced than a beginner would do. It uses front and back post double crochet stitches, but once you learn them you realize this is a super easy pattern. It took me two days, last night into this morning. The pattern said one skein of Red Heart Boutique yarn and this used well over two skeins, in fact, I only had two and used some off white for the last three closing rounds at the top. I hope to add a pom pom to cover that up, like you see in photo. It was used for photo purposes only. ;)

Testing a Cowl Pattern

Posted by Angela B. at 9:18 PM 0 comments

I found this great skein of yarn on clearance, it wasn't enough to make a descent sized cowl. But this is as far as I got. I will pull it all out and try something else with this skein.

Simple Baby Shorts

Posted by Angela B. at 9:24 PM 0 comments

If you read my post yesterday you would know I made a newborn Mickey baby set a while back for a friend. Unfortunately by the time she received it, the little guy was too big. So I am having a do over and making the set in a larger size for the little guy. I will post the finished shorts once the set is completed.

I used a G hook and Anne Geddes yarn and added three extra rows in the legs.

Dinosaur Afghan

Posted by Angela B. at 9:25 PM 0 comments

A young lady I met 12 years ago when she was just a teenager had her second baby this summer. The new little tike received a Mickey Newborn themed outfit and an elephant themed afghan. The 3 year old big sister has taken a liking to the afghan, so I was asked to make her one. Luckily I had an afghan stashed away, so I made her requested dinosaur themed afghan. I hope she likes it!

Pink Bunny

Posted by Angela B. at 9:28 PM 0 comments

Hey crafty friends!
Today I had to get into my UFO bag, which is the Unfinished Objects Bag...lol! I had planned on making an assortment of bunnies at Easter like I do every year, but this year I went for passing out minion eggs to grand nieces and nephews. Because I didn't finish the bunnies I have several started and decided to finish the pink one this weekend.

Quick and Easy Blanket is not so quick..

Posted by Angela B. at 9:30 PM 0 comments

Woo hoo! If my back wasn’t killing me I would say I need to celebrate! I need to celebrate finishing this King sized afghan that I started in April of 2017. My hubby wasn't satisfied with the small length of his first afghan, so I pulled out all the stops. We bought nice thick, squishy yarn, Bernat blanket yarn. We spent about $300 on yarn, although I didn't use both colors he chose, I just had to end it. Here is what I have, once I weave in some ends it will be ready to hug its owner my husband of 25 years.

Mini Easter Bunny

Posted by Angela B. at 9:35 PM 0 comments

Every year I try to whip up six crochet animals to send at Easter to my three Great Nieces, and my three Great Nephews. My goal, besides actually making six bunnies and mail them 800 miles is to find a new free pattern to use every year. I may go through several patterns before settling on a final bunny pattern to use.

This is my first bunny pattern  of the year! If you follow my blog, Or Facebook pages be on the lookout for more soon!
