My Mother’s Day project was to make this guy. I remembered back to my childhood singing, 5 little monkeys jumping on the bed, one fell off and bumped his head, do you remember the rest?

Well off I went to search for an easy quick finish in a day project. I went from citrus coasters, to making a cup cozy instead. Isn’t he cute!

Charlie Chimpanzee

Hello friends and followers!

Today I want to share with you this adorable Chimp. It was my first attempt at this crochet pattern, so clearly there are a few mistakes. My 4 year old Great Nephew will love Charlie despite his imperfections.  Unfortunately the birthday boys birthday was the 2nd, so I need to get him packaged up and ready for his 800 mile journey to his forever home.

I finished 3 of these little guys for an order and the one with the ball cap is the original one I first made. They are so fun aren't they!

I seen this Monkey and decided I must make one for each of my six grand nephews and nieces. Once I made a few they were snatched up so fast, I don't think I ever sent one to my nieces and nephews. The pattern was written by Sharon Ojala from Amigurumi To Go

This pattern was originally a sock monkey pattern that I turned into a Green Bay Packers fan, or that was my intention anyways. This pattern was written by Linda Cyr from Red Heart North America

Crochet Holiday Chimpanzee

 

My first crochet swap item finished. Isn't he so cute! I am going to have a hard time parting with him. He was originally supposed to be a Sock Monkey Ornament from a Red Heart yarn pattern I found online, but I turned him into a winter chimp! I even made the little pom pom for his hat! I am so pleased with how he turned out he's so adorable! I am thinking he may stay here with me and I may make something else to send for the swap. I have always had a soft spot for monkey's. :)
