Crochet Clover Bookmark

 

Tonight I am sharing this Shamrock bookmark I hand crochet just for fun, although I did have an issue with the pattern a little maybe because I got sidetracked but either way it was fun and it works! 

 

Inspired by Abigails Hope Chest

 Inspired by Miss Abigails Hope Chest. My first item for my recipients Hope Chest is this bookmark. I used an old charm from a stretchy bracelet she had as a child it kind of looks prehistoric like some sort of shell or rock and was perfect with this yarn. I believe the idea was to have the recipient learn how to crochet and make the bookmark to learn a homemaker skill and maybe give a few bookmarks to friends. My intended potential recipients either are nowhere near me or they are not yet interested in learning the art of crochet. First of all HAPPY MOTHER's DAY! The last few days I have been posting photos of all the items I included in my package to my partner in the Mother's Day Crochet Swap. Last of the items is this gorgeous thread crochet bookmark. 

Crochet a Gecko

 

I needed a small quick project to whip up during a movie with the family. So I found this adorable Gekko pattern to try. This is my first attempt.. and as usual he looks a bit different than the pattern's photo.

These little projects are great for my practicing of holding my hook and yarn to develop my tension. I think I may be holding it too tight though. But still it almost looks like the photo for the pattern. ;)
