Isn’t this great! I did get the ear on one side a little crooked but I was tickled to death how good it looked. I ended up making two of these hats one to give my friend in case the original hat I made her did not fit her son. They said even thought he was only two years old he was the size of a five year old. I was so happy that my instinct told me to bring along the hat in case one didn't fit. I also made one for one of my Grand Nephews.
This hat is from a free pattern I found at

Hello again, I am still working on getting hats made from my Great Nieces and Nephews. I have three of each. From the ages of 7 - 13. If you have been following my blog you seen the first light pink pom pom hat set I made for the youngest of the girls, and then I made the hand warmers and bobble hat set for the oldest of the girls. For the boys I have shown you the Ninja Turtle hat I made for the oldest boy and now this one for one of the two other boys. I am sure it looks much cuter on than by itself. ;)
I used the free pattern from

The hand warmers were a free mitten pattern from Yarnspirations that I went my own way and stopped early on the mittens to have hand warmers since I was running low on yarn and turned out I had just enough for the pair of hand warmers to make a beautiful finished set.
Hello friends and followers! Today I am showing off this cute and very easy pattern to work up. The Ninja Turtle hat! I made this for the oldest of my three Grand Nephews. I made all six of the kids Minion hats a few years back, and some stuffed toys, a mermaid tail, and this year I decided to go with hats but no one has the same one this time around.
I would like to thank
for this fantastic and very beginner friendly pattern! Plus it is FREE!

This adorable Pom Pom hat, neck warmer and mittens are all designed around Pom Poms and my grand niece Taylor. Taylor’s favorite color is Hot Pink. She will be turning 10 this month, so I had her in mind when I decided to work on this project. All patterns are from Free Written patterns found online I will link them below.

Inspired by Miss Abigails Hope Chest. My first item for my recipients Hope Chest is this bookmark. I used an old charm from a stretchy bracelet she had as a child it kind of looks prehistoric like some sort of shell or rock and was perfect with this yarn. I believe the idea was to have the recipient learn how to crochet and make the bookmark to learn a homemaker skill and maybe give a few bookmarks to friends. My intended potential recipients either are nowhere near me or they are not yet interested in learning the art of crochet. Maybe one day. The inspirational post for this project idea can be found here at http://missabigailshopechest.blogspot.com/2010/12/crocheted-bookmarks.html
Made a Christmas Gnome a few years back, and I have been wanting to do the pattern with other holiday themes. So I chose a Halloween Gnome. For this Gnome I used Caron Simply Soft Lt. country peach, neon orange, purple violet, black, and mint green.

This week I have been rearranging my craft room once again trying to attain more space. While moving things from one side of the room to the other it gave me a chance to go through the stacks of finished projects I have made as well as the unfinished ones. This hat was in the unfinished side. I added the flap to make it look more like a Pilot themed hat, added a couple of buttons and the braided side straps to finish it off.
Crochet Fall colored puff stitch dish cloth.
Okay, so I went cotton yarn crazy about a year ago. I thought I am going to make all of these hot pads, and coasters. Oh the things I can make, the sets etc. I am going to set up a booth at the Farmers Market and make some money off my hobby! Well that never happened. None of it. I have all this cotton yarn sitting here taking up space, so I thought I better start using it up. I started a market bag with one skein and just when I was about 1/2 way through I ran out of the skein, so I will have to go shopping for more to finish that. I decided to use the larger spool of the above color and make something for the Autumn season. It will be here soon don't you know! I made this Puff stitch dish cloth / hot pad. I never use them as dish cloths I always toss them on the counter when I have a hot pan or don't want crumbs on the bottom of a dish from the counter. I love this puff stitch pattern. I had accidentally placed a strawberry dishcloth I had made in the Spring I believe it was, and they looked so good together, so now I am thinking maybe this is not for Fall season it could be for Spring too! :)
I would show you the project laying flat but it needs to be squared up. I don't know how people can crochet so perfectly straight and square, not this girl, my tension is too tight I think, maybe that is why I try to stay away from straight edged projects. :) The great thing about yarn is to square them up you can lay your afghan while damp on your mattress and pin it out square and allow to dry.
Crochet Teal & purple Turtle
I made this turtle as an extra little gift to go with the mermaid tail afghan from the previous post using the yarn that was left over. If you like any of my projects and are wondering if I would ever make anything to sell to you, the answer is yes. A lot of the items I have made thus far, I still have stashed away in a closet. I would be more than happy to sale my items.

Crochet Teal & Purple Mermaid Tail Afghan
I have been working on this afghan for years! I finally found the purple yarn I had ran out of and was able to continue on. This is suppose to be a gift to someone from years back, I already lost count how many years back. Aye ye ye! I am deciding if I am going to sale in my Etsy shop or send it anyways. If this is something you are interested in, keep an eye on my Etsy shop for its listing!
