I joined a CAL, what is a CAL well that is short for a Crochet-A-Long. Didn't you ever do those sing a longs as a kid where the words came across the television or you read it from the story book as the cassette tapes played. I know showing my age a little there. Well this project consisted of 12 squares for each month they were either a 12 inch square like this pattern or you would get 6 inch square patterns to put together to make your 12" squares.
