Love Is Cold Ear Warmer

 

Hello my fiber friends and followers! I missed you too! :) I have been so busy finishing up cabinet orders before we close out business. I have been working, packing, cleaning, and helping get the old shop ready for the new owner. I have been so exhausted every night I hardly have time to do anything but think about what I need to get done at the shop. I have one last cleaning, and trash dumpster to load and I am finished! Unless we pay someone to finish up, I have already done all the hard work, just need to order another dumpster drop off and make one last load. Yippee! So to celebrate and relax my aching body I decided to concentrate on any projects that involved sitting for extended periods. LOL! 

I decided to go with this fun valentines themed project called Love is Cold Ear Warmer pattern by Moogly. I find myself on her site all the time by the luck of so many likes via Pinterest sharers. I will post a link below for any of my crocheting friends. I learned a new stitch called the FOUNDATION CROCHET STITCH. It wasn’t too complicated as long as I kept my finger on the first stitch as I worked I didn't lose sight of where I needed to insert the hook next.  You also work the front and back post double crochet stitches in this pattern. I just love the hearts, and it is perfect for the winter weather we will be having on valentines this year!

My first Crochet Cardigan

 I am so excited to share with all of you my first ever attempt at a crochet cardigan! I had an issue with the sleeves but I think it still turned out great! This was made as a Christmas gift for my 26 year old daughter. I used Caron Simply Soft Party in the color Silver Sparkle. I just love how it turned out and need to make myself one now!

Flowers In A Row Afghan

 

I will have to look up when I started this afghan, it has been a few years I know! But I finally finished this today! Woo- HOO! I incorporated a design I learned on another afghan that is currently hibernating, so when you look up this pattern if you are a crocheter like myself, you will not see this in the original design, nor the edging. I went my own way on the ending. I do hope you like my finished afghan. I used a J hook, Red Heart Super Saver Solids in Pretty N Pink, Soft White, and Light Sage. My starting chain was 139 stitches for the adult lap throw.

Row 7 ch 1, ss in front loops across

Row 8 ch 1 sc in loops left behind on previous row this will form the ridge.

 Row 9 ch3 treble crochet in the 4th stitch, working behind the stitch go back and dc in the three missed stitches

 Row 10 ch 1 sc across 

Row 11 -14 repeat rows 7-10

 

 On to another project! :D

Crochet Christmas Tree Amigurumi

 

Isn’t this so fun! I love fun projects! I hot glued on the pom poms. Hand sewn on the garland at intervals in case in decides to droop. Lol! he is a bit “fluffy”,  but he is happy!

Strawberry Dishcloth

Crochet Strawberry Wash Cloth

100 % Cotton 

This strawberry cloth can be used for many things not just a dishcloth as it was originally designed, it could also be a bath wash cloth too. I love these for sitting my larger coffee mugs on, as to not leave a large ring on the furniture. I also toss these on tables and counters just to have a soft surface to sit pans and things on. Even though I have a granite counter top, it makes me feel better about sitting hot pans onto it. I think as a set in a place setting it would be cute as a table setting for the dessert individual serving dish.

Crochet Elf on the Shelf

Ever since I found out about the fun mischievious elf on the shelf doll, I have wanted one too! I could have purchased one numerous times, but for over $25, It just didn’t feel worth it to me. So, this week, to keep my mind off all of the street riots, cop shootings, CHOP autonomous zones, and the like, here in the United States.. I turned the television off and made myself an elf for my shelf this year! :D He is so happy to be here, look at that smile! 

 

Crochet Food

I went to the Farmer’s Market yesterday, and I wasn’t that impressed to be honest. There were a few craft tables and it made me think about how I could have a craft booth at the market too. So I surfed the internet for crochet food type items and the quest was on to make a sandwich. :)

In photo is bologna, an egg, 3 onions, 2 tomato slices, and a sliver of lettuce.
