Crochet Mary Jane Booties

 

Finished these adorable Mary Jane Baby Booties over the weekend. I used Anne Geddes yarn in Taffy. The taffy color is more of a bubblegum pink.

Is this not the cutest little set. It would look good over a white ones. I wrote the pattern to this adorable skirt because I could not find what I wanted online for an infant order I was working on. The booties were from a basic bootie pattern and then I added the little white bows.

 

 

Crochet Cactus

 

On the hook Friday night, was this little cutie. I made a cute little cactus to go with my “cactus” themed birthday. The pattern I found did not have the spikes I added them to the finished design.

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear

 

Isn’t this cute as ever! That fur fabric was the perfect fabric to make this bear. Sewn on the Singer sewing machine and stuffed by me. 

Sewing up Bunnies

 

If you’ve been following along my blog post you would know that I’ve been sewing up some bunnies this year. The bunny on the left was bunny number two made from some fabric I had that was supposed to be some pajamas for my daughter about 20 years ago and the blue Jean bunny on the right was made from my husband‘s pair of shorts aren’t they just adorable. 

Pajamas Recycled

 

These bunnies were so fun to make. The bunny on the left was made from a pair of my long flannel pajama pants that had ripped at some point in time and of course I stash the fabric away for a project someday. The fabric on the right was from a sewing project that I had attempted about 20 years ago for my daughter. The intention was to make her a pair of pajamas. Unfortunately my sewing skills are very limited and the pajamas never worked out. 

It only took 20 years and now I have two cute little bunnies made from recycled fabric, you can’t go wrong, such a perfect way to use that fabric that you might have hanging in your closet from an old shirt or pants and turning it into something even better, the family heirloom to pass on for generations.

So pleased to show you this adorable stuffed bunny I sewed up yesterday. I have been itching for a sewing project. My last one was making masks, how dreadful that was, even though I sold two on Etsy and lost my bootie on the sales, it felt great to send out something I made on my Singer sewing machine. Especially since my Singer and I don’t always see eye to eye. Lol! I have 3 more waiting to be sewed and stuffed, place this blog in your favorites so you don’t miss a thing. 

Love Is Cold Ear Warmer

 

Hello my fiber friends and followers! I missed you too! :) I have been so busy finishing up cabinet orders before we close out business. I have been working, packing, cleaning, and helping get the old shop ready for the new owner. I have been so exhausted every night I hardly have time to do anything but think about what I need to get done at the shop. I have one last cleaning, and trash dumpster to load and I am finished! Unless we pay someone to finish up, I have already done all the hard work, just need to order another dumpster drop off and make one last load. Yippee! So to celebrate and relax my aching body I decided to concentrate on any projects that involved sitting for extended periods. LOL! 

I decided to go with this fun valentines themed project called Love is Cold Ear Warmer pattern by Moogly. I find myself on her site all the time by the luck of so many likes via Pinterest sharers. I will post a link below for any of my crocheting friends. I learned a new stitch called the FOUNDATION CROCHET STITCH. It wasn’t too complicated as long as I kept my finger on the first stitch as I worked I didn't lose sight of where I needed to insert the hook next.  You also work the front and back post double crochet stitches in this pattern. I just love the hearts, and it is perfect for the winter weather we will be having on valentines this year!

My first Crochet Cardigan

 I am so excited to share with all of you my first ever attempt at a crochet cardigan! I had an issue with the sleeves but I think it still turned out great! This was made as a Christmas gift for my 26 year old daughter. I used Caron Simply Soft Party in the color Silver Sparkle. I just love how it turned out and need to make myself one now!

Flowers In A Row Afghan

 

I will have to look up when I started this afghan, it has been a few years I know! But I finally finished this today! Woo- HOO! I incorporated a design I learned on another afghan that is currently hibernating, so when you look up this pattern if you are a crocheter like myself, you will not see this in the original design, nor the edging. I went my own way on the ending. I do hope you like my finished afghan. I used a J hook, Red Heart Super Saver Solids in Pretty N Pink, Soft White, and Light Sage. My starting chain was 139 stitches for the adult lap throw.

Row 7 ch 1, ss in front loops across

Row 8 ch 1 sc in loops left behind on previous row this will form the ridge.

 Row 9 ch3 treble crochet in the 4th stitch, working behind the stitch go back and dc in the three missed stitches

 Row 10 ch 1 sc across 

Row 11 -14 repeat rows 7-10

 

 On to another project! :D
