Crochet Easter Basket

Hello on this beautiful Sunday afternoon. Today I decided to try out a new pattern for a Crochet Easter Candy Basket. I am on an Easter basket making frenzy!

Today I decided to make it my goal to use up some of my scrap yarn balls. These little Easter baskets seemed like a good idea! What first was going to be a rainbow colored basket turned into this! I decided to add a little coral stripe around the basket for a little extra added color. Shown in photo below.

My first attempt at the basket weave stitch! I am loving the look of this stitch!

What I am calling "Operation Yarn Stash" is where I am gathering my yarn balls of scraps and turning them into adorable Easter candy baskets for no good reason at all! :) 

Crochet Cherry Hot Pad

Beautiful free pattern for a beginner cherry pot holder from Slugs On The Refrigerator. She has some great free patterns for beginners. I tried this pattern before and needed to use up the yarn so I worked up a couple more of them. This one above is my 3rd attempt. It is a great feeling to not only finish a project but to free up space that you had yarn stashed in! :)
