Inspired by Abigails Hope Chest

 Inspired by Miss Abigails Hope Chest. My first item for my recipients Hope Chest is this bookmark. I used an old charm from a stretchy bracelet she had as a child it kind of looks prehistoric like some sort of shell or rock and was perfect with this yarn. I believe the idea was to have the recipient learn how to crochet and make the bookmark to learn a homemaker skill and maybe give a few bookmarks to friends. My intended potential recipients either are nowhere near me or they are not yet interested in learning the art of crochet. Crochet Green Halloween Witchy Gnome

 

My second Halloween Witchy Gnome. He turned out longer than the first, but still very cute! I did not have a spider for this one. Does not mean he won’t get one. Hope you like him too!

I decided to add some extra touches to my gnome. I added the sparkly pumpkins to his shoes, and I found this awesome spider at Hobby Lobby to add to his hat! He is complete! I actually made him for my daughter and once I started on my second one she tells me “You can keep him.” “I like Christmas best!” …lol! Oh well, I already have the body finished for another Halloween Gnome.
